Lady Gaga - Bad Romance

Lady Gaga's music video for 'Bad Romance' is 'narrative based' which means that it tells a story. The video is set in a brothel, where men are bidding to 'win' Lady Gaga' for their own.

Close ups and reaction shots allow the viewers to see the reactions of each person, so that they can almost feel what Lady Gaga is feeling. Straight cuts and jump cuts are in sync with the music beat and follows the visual so the viewers can keep up with whats happening.

In each of the scenes, allof the dancers tend to dance in one particular colour, with Lady Gaga either blending in or wearing an outfit which although is the same or a similar colour, still stands out.

Product placement was also included in the video, where a particular brand of vodka was shown, with a close up view and allow it wasn't for very long it can be thought of as a type of synergy.
